Luciano Pinheiro was born in Bertioga, north coast of São Paulo, son of fisherman and artisan. He developed in his repertoire, his roots and his fascination for the natural, for manual and handcrafted artistic techniques, true and authentic, for the experience and courses carried out along his route. The artist went through other areas, which today complements his artistic universe. He has a degree in pharmacy, chemistry and cinema. And fashion emerged about 12 years ago in Luciano's life, precisely because of his interest in creating, a referential heritage of handicrafts made by his mother, and the infinite possibilities of extrapolating art and questions in his creations.
Based on his references, the artist develops his art with natural peppers, textiles, wefts and natural inputs. Luciano's pieces bring with them the tropicalism, the questioning of social and environmental problems, rescuing the traditions and characteristics of local art. The artist had one of his textile collections awarded at the Museu da Casa Brasileira Award, the main category award in Brazil, and the Objeto Brasil award.
Master in textile fibers by Universidade São Paulo, Luciano researches new textile materials with less impact and applies them to his creations.
